We get knocked down. But we get up again.
We get knocked down. But we get up again.
For any East Dulwich residents, the great news is already a few days old, but for anyone else, I am delighted to be able to confirm that we are indeed open again. I really don’t know what the official figure on number of lives very small businesses have is, but we seem to burning through ours at an alarming rate. Whatever the figure, we seem to have been given yet another chance. Thank you again Saint Liz, all higher powers and everyone who sent good thoughts, prays and incantations as it worked. That is one in the eye for the forces of evil. We really do have to say thank you again to all our loyal customers for the amazing messages of support we got and are still getting. I know I have said it here before but it bears repeating a million times. You have no idea of how much it means to us, particularly when things are really not easy. No matter how hard though, with that sort of goodwill, we do (on our good days) feel that there truly is nothing in the world that can completely finish us off.
Perhaps I really shouldn’t tempt fate by saying something like that, given our luck. If a meteor lands on Lordship Lane in the next few days, I apologise and except full responsibility.
Slow Food Fair this weekend, if any of you are interested. It is at the South Bank centre again and we will be there for the duration along with lots of other stalls selling fabulous food and other delicious things to drink. This movement is still much less established here than it is in Italy but it really is worth supporting whole heartedly.
