Due to popular demand, we are delighted to announce a 8 week wine course focusing solely on France. While those who have already attended our 13 week course on wines from around the world will get preference when booking, you don’t need to have done the first course to enjoy this one immensely. Classes run from 7.45pm until around 10.30/11pm.
We're not ones to blow our own trumpet however we've more than happy for others to do it for us!

School of Wine is now a Green & Blue institution turning out groups of students twice a year who, on having travelled the world of wine with us, often find that an interest has developed into a passion. If already passionate, they tend to take up permanent residence in our bars. For our part, we believe fervently in education - why wouldn’t we? Once you know what to look for and have had 13 weeks full of truly lovely, real wine it is impossible to return to the ranks of mass produced nonsense.
While we take it very seriously on some levels, we do go out of our way to make this fun and relaxed as well as hugely informative, so expect to have a splendidly jolly time as well. As an added bonus, all students are issued with cards which entitle them to a range of discounts while they are on the course.
School of Wine runs from 7.45pm - 10.30/11pm, depending on the session, although many students find that further discussion and sampling is essential to their fully understanding a particular region and often stay on for after school activity ...
What previous Graduates say about the course:
“The notes are brilliant – an enormous amount of thought and effort has obviously gone into them.”
“This has made me aware of some wines and regions I wouldn’t have considered or known about before.”
“This course has ruined me. I can never drink a bottle of Jacobs Creek again. My palate is now much more educated and, although I have so much more to learn, I can now recognize a good wine.”
“A lovely, lively, fun and informative way to spend the evening.”
“ I love School of Wine – brilliant, brilliant, brilliant.”
And that was when they were sober.
