Green & Blue is very serious about making wine buying as simple as possible and so we do the hard work for you, doggedly tasting our way through hundreds of examples before we choose those which we feel to be the best of their respective styles.
Because of this, we do not stock the hundreds of different wines, many merely slight variations on a theme, which most shops run to. Those we do sell are displayed on shelves according to style, for example “rich, creamy, full whites”. While this way of doing things is not an exact science, we believe that it does make it easier on the whole for you to find something you really fancy drinking. Each style category has only 8 – 10 wines, further simplifying the decision process. Our hope is that if you like a wine of a particular style you will be tempted to try other, perhaps less well known wines in the same category. All our wines are described by complete tasting notes.
You will see that the wine list changes fairly often. This is from necessity as much as anything else, as many wines we stock are only available in relatively minute quantities, but it means that there is always something new to try, even if the total number of wines is not massive.
