I am on holiday.
Only theoretically at this stage since it appears that I am still
working but I am trying (and mainly failing) to feel no bitterness at the fact
that my precious 4 days off are now more like 3.
It doesn’t matter.
This will be supplemented with daily specials –
one of which I had with Dad this week. We were both speechless with how delicious
it was. Also, we really didn’t want to talk
because eating was too damn good. Whole
Bream with fennel and potatoes – cooked to perfection and completely lovely.
When we had finally finished, there was literally
nothing left except bones and the tail.
NOTHING. Not even the head. I spoke then and said to Dad
“I am so unbelievably happy that we have just
eaten this meal in my bar”.
And the memory of quite how happy I was almost
makes up for working now. Almost.
Here it is then.
You should come in soon and try it.
We will be matching great wines with the daily specials as well so you
really will have the time of your life.
