After a complete dearth of blog activity, it is time to countdown to Christmas again. And we start with a rant.

Thandisizwe, the inaugural winner of the Green & Blue Scholarship, finally joins us in London from South Africa. He will be working with us for the next year, mainly in East Dulwich but occasionally in Clapham too, learning anything and everything about wine.

Claire, Tom, Jude and I go to Paris to drink wonderful wine for very many happy hours.

We get knocked down. But we get up again.

Finally, it is here – our beautiful new website. Not that our old website wasn ‘t beautiful, but you did need to be a person of quite extraordinary perseverance if you wanted to actually buy anything from it and now it is all sensationally easy. Many thanks to those of you who did show extraordinary perseverance over the past three years – we hope the brilliant new shopping experience is ample reward for your hard work in the past.

Bill Baker has died in his sleep aged just 53. He will be deeply missed.

Tom becomes a hero and there is some very bad news on the drains front but we sell lots of wine in both sites, so it is not all bad.
